Baumgarten's partnership with American Forests is creating a successful reforestation project to assist our planet by cleaning the air and sequestering CO2, a 'Greenhouse Gas' associated with climate change. With the help of its customers, Baumgarten's is raising thousands of dollars and planting thousands of trees in the United States and Canada.
A Non-Toxic Product Line
Baumgarten’s took on screening all of our products for lead, mercury, chlorine, bromine and chrome under the EU RoHS Directive. Since April of 2008 we now have every one of our items passing this stringent heavy metals mandate, surpassing all current U.S.A. demands.
We're Buying Renewable Energy Credits
Baumgarten's offsets its CO2 emissions footprint with Renewable Energy Credits.
• By purchasing renewable energy credits, we offset hundreds of thousands of pounds of CO2 emissions in a year. This is the environmental equivalent of recycling over 500,000 aluminum cans.
• In 2007, we purchased enough wind and biomass energy credits to offset 100% of the carbon emissions associated with all our electricity and natural gas usage.
