Mohawk offers many grades of paper with various levels of post-consumer waste fiber and requires virgin pulp suppliers to follow sound forest stewardship practices. In fact, in 2002 Mohawk was one of the first paper mills to receive chain-of-custody certification from the Forest Stewardship Council.

Eco-friendly Printing Paper

All Mohawk papers are made with electricity generated by renewable, non-polluting wind power. Mohawk was the first paper mill and is one of the largest consumers of wind power among U.S. manufacturers. Today, 100% of the electricity Mohawk uses is generated by wind.

Also, Mohawk offers beautiful writing, test and cover papers which are made carbon neutral within production processes by offsetting thermal manufacturing emissions with VERs and emission from purchased electricity with RECs from Green e-certified wing power projects. By doing so, Mohawk is seeking to make these papers with a net zero climate impact.
